Accounts Payable

The established flooring company is looking for an energetic and teachable candidate to join our team. Team members who show initiative, work well with others, and further develop their skills will be rewarded with increased responsibilities and pay. This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounts Payable Clerk located in Fort Myers, FL. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for receipt of invoices, verification of invoices, data entry of invoices into accounting software, corresponding with vendors, and preparing and processing payments. The Accounts Payable Clerk will also assist with other accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles
• Proficient in Accounting Software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
• Previous experience in Accounts Payable and Invoicing
• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial:
• Experience with QuickBooks and/or similar accounting software
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• High School Diploma Required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Must be able to proof text accurately
• Must be a fast learner with excellent work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily deadlines
• Adaptablity to perform well under pressure
• Time Management
• Ability to deal with last minute changes
