The Training Manager leads and manages the training team. The Manager collaborates with key personnel to establish clear career pathways to achieve organizational goals, then analyzes data and prioritizes training projects to provide necessary professional development.

 Main Responsibilities

  • Leads, manages, evaluates, and mentors the training team.
  • Develops a service-centered culture of learning within the department.
  • Facilitates and supports development of team goals and key performance indicators.
  • Selects, collects, analyzes, interprets, and presents data to assist with decision making related to organizational training needs.
  • Collaborates with department and senior leaders to meet organizational training needs.
  • Administers the Learning Management System.
  • Develops annual training schedule.
  • Designs, develops, and delivers in-person and virtual professional development to facilitate career pathways.
  • Provides input and assists with the annual budget expenditures for the department.
  • Maintains currency in the field of workforce development, including training, career development, performance development, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Maintains currency in the fields of process improvement and innovation methodologies. 
  • Remains up to date on up to date on policies, procedures, bulletins, applicable laws and legislation, professional literature, and agency updates. 
  • Maintains specialized skills, knowledge and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the role.  
  • Performs other related duties as directed.
